Semiconductor Material Science Expert (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your deep expertise in semiconductor materials or molecular modeling could directly shape how AI reasons about the physical world? We're looking for Materials Science specialists — Masters and PhD-level — to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models on some of the most technically demanding problems in modern science.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience needed — just rigorous domain knowledge and a sharp eye for scientific quality.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and review advanced material science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related fields to design complex, high-quality problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, depth, and technical rigor
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to strengthen AI model reasoning
- Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of scientific clarity and correctness
- Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Applied Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent research areas
- Proficient in Python or MATLAB for research or technical computation
- Rigorous and detail-oriented — you hold your work to a high scientific standard
- Clear and effective written communicator capable of explaining complex concepts precisely
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data labeling, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in computational materials science or density functional theory (DFT)
- Experience publishing or peer-reviewing scientific work
- Familiarity with AI or machine learning tools as an end user
