Youth Prevention Coordinator
SEI’s Community & Family Programs (CFP) department advances SEI’s mission to guide underserved youth in realizing their full potential by strengthening the families and households that support them. As direct service providers, our Family Stability Programs focus on stabilizing families, reducing barriers and supporting households to achieve safety, stability and self defined goals supported by sustainable income. This work relies on strong partnerships with schools, community organizations, and public systems to improve conditions that impact family well being. The Youth Prevention Coordinator works alongside youth and their caregivers to deliver trauma informed, culturally responsive prevention and early intervention services aligned with SEI’s RISE (Restore, Identify, Stabilize, Empower) framework, including group facilitation, direct youth support, brief interventions, and referrals that strengthen family stability and youth empowerment. This position reports to the Family Stability Program Manager.
Direct Youth and Family Services
- Provide direct services and light touch intervention safety plans for youth experiencing domestic, sexual or dating violence.
- Support families in strengthening their capacity to stabilize and support youth during times of crisis.
- Make referrals to external community partners, social service agencies, and medical providers as appropriate and follow up to support successful connections.
Prevention Programming and Curriculum Implementation
- Ensure high quality implementation of approved curricula and prevention models, including TREM and SAFE prevention frameworks.
- Collaborate with SEI staff and partners to develop, adapt, and deliver prevention programming tailored to youth needs.
- Facilitate culturally relevant workshops and activities that reflect, affirm, and uplift the lived experiences of African American youth and other historically marginalized communities.
Collaboration and Community Engagement
- Work collaboratively with schools, SEI SUN sites, SEI Youth Services, and community partners to coordinate services and strengthen program impact.
- Coordinate with SEI Youth Services and SUN to deliver education and support related to domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, stalking, and sex trafficking.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with school staff, counselors, Coordinators, and community based organizations.
Documentation, Compliance, and Confidentiality
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in compliance with SEI policies, contracts, and funding requirements.
- Support program evaluation, reporting, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Uphold the highest levels of confidentiality in accordance with advocacy privilege and applicable confidentiality laws and ethical standards.
