<strong><br>Position Summary<br></strong>The Quality Engineer will lead quality assurance initiatives within an automotive manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 standards and customer-specific requirements. This role involves driving continuous improvement, implementing robust quality systems, and applying Six Sigma methodologies to reduce defects and enhance process capability. The Quality Engineer be in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability in our production processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering principles and quality assurance methodologies.<br><br>
</div><div> <strong>Key Responsibilities<br></strong><br>
</div><div>· Ensure compliance with <strong>IATF 16949</strong>, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality standards.</div><div>· Lead <strong>APQP</strong>, <strong>PPAP</strong>, and <strong>FMEA</strong> activities for new product launches and engineering changes.</div><div>· Manage <strong>control plans</strong>, <strong>process capability studies (Cp, Cpk)</strong>, and <strong>measurement system analysis (MSA)</strong>.</div><div>· Investigate and resolve internal and external quality issues using <strong>root cause analysis</strong> and <strong>8D methodology</strong>.</div><div>· Drive <strong>continuous improvement projects</strong> using <strong>Lean and Six Sigma tools</strong> to reduce scrap, rework, and warranty claims.</div><div>· Support <strong>supplier quality management</strong>, including audits, corrective actions, and performance monitoring.</div><div>· Prepare and present quality metrics and reports to management and customers.</div><div>· Train and mentor junior engineers and production teams on quality tools and standards.</div><div> </div><div>
<strong>Qualifications<br></strong><br>
</div><div>· <strong>Bachelor’s degree</strong> in Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred).</div><div>· 3<strong>+ years</strong> of quality engineering experience in <strong>automotive manufacturing</strong>.</div><div>· Strong knowledge of <strong>IATF 16949</strong>, <strong>Core Tools</strong> (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).</div><div>· <strong>Six Sigma Green Belt</strong> or higher certification preferred.</div><div>· Proficient in <strong>problem-solving tools</strong> (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).</div><div>· Experience with <strong>GD&T</strong>, <strong>statistical analysis</strong>, and <strong>quality software</strong> (e.g., Minitab).</div><div>· Excellent communication and leadership skills.</div><div> <br><strong>Preferred Skills<br></strong><br>
</div><div>· Familiarity with <strong>customer-specific requirements</strong> (OEM/Tier 1).</div><div>· Knowledge of <strong>ISO 14001</strong> and <strong>ISO 45001</strong> standards.</div><div>· Experience with <strong>auditing</strong> (internal and supplier).</div>
