Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Seismic Data Analyst based in Chennai. The Seismic Data Analyst will be responsible for processing and analyzing seismic data to support geophysical and seismological research, producing reports and visualizations, maintaining and calibrating seismic instruments, and collaborating with team members to interpret findings. The role also involves continuously enhancing the accuracy and quality of data through monitoring, troubleshooting, and improvements in methodologies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Seismic Data Analysis, Data Processing, and Visualization Techniques
- Strong understanding of Seismology, Geophysics, and related scientific principles
- Skill in handling and calibrating seismic and geophysical instrumentation
- Experience in Data Interpretation, Report Preparation, and Problem Solving
- Technological skills, including software tools commonly used in geophysical and seismology domains
- Effective communication, teamwork, and technical reporting capabilities
- Master's degree in Geophysics, Seismology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Experience in the use of advanced geophysical software especially in SEISAN tools is a must needed.
