Job Description

  • Reports to the Production Manager
  • Safety leadership responsible for deployment and enforcement of all Corporate Environment, Health & Safety Programs and delivering measurable improvements in team/facility safety
  • Supervise a team of operators on rotational shifts
  • Provide full support, direction and training to shift employees achieve key performance objectives including, but not limited to: an accident-free workplace, environmental compliance, high quality production, meeting/exceeding production standards
  • Encourage active communication, foster employee development and engagement by leading coaching, and evaluating shift employees
  • Implement policies and procedures designed to attain and sustain World Class Manufacturing
  • Support quality programs and processes to prevent defects and work with customers when warranted
  • Manage employee relation issues and ensure all HR policies are met
  • Create and maintain a team-based environment
  • Manage timekeeping and attendance records for shift employees
  • Continually seek, recommend, and implement changes to production
  • Meet facility’s targets sustaining gains achieved in Lean efforts by supporting upper management and implementing best practices

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years’ manufacturing experience required; supervising employees with proven ability to direct and energize staff, provide constructive feedback, and establish clear expectations
  • Paper mill and/or papermaking experience preferred
  • Excellent and professional oral and written communications skills (in a clear, professional, respectful manner)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team to achieve results
  • Self-motivated team player who can act with minimal direction
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles (and Lean Six Sigma a plus)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and data-based decision making
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Pay Transparency

 

Salary Range: $84,800-$146,280

 

The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs. Sealed Air offers a competitive benefits package that includes:
