Your Role
Job Description Of The Position
- Software Security Technical Lead contributes to the success of the Application Security Program by working on various application security tools like SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA etc.
- Software Security Technical Lead has a indepth understanding of various Application Security standards like OWASP Top 10, OWASP Mobile Top 10, OWASP API Top 10, OWASP IoT Top 10, SANS Top 25.
- Software Security Technical Lead understands the Organization best practices for Application Security and adheres to them. This role significantly contributes in developing and executing the Security validation plan / Penetration testing and communicating the outcome to stakeholders.
- The role also involves analyzing the issues reported out of security scanning tools or customer cases and track various security activities for main release and maintenance releases ensuring those are tracked in collaboration with other functions/teams as necessary.
- This role also involves oversite and maintenance of code owned by the App Security team. This role involves Secure test plan review, maintaining Team process and building as well as updating Security best practices document up to date with guidance from lead.
- Software Security Technical Lead has an expert level understanding of security tools as well as designing controls for secure SDLC processes.
- Application Security Technical leads proactively plans and undertakes initiatives to improve the posture of the security program.
- The role is also responsible for maintaining security release criteria along with the success metrics. This role involves NPD Approach review and threat modelling consultation.
- This role assumes mentoring and guiding junior Application Security employees, however, does not assume any direct reports.

You would get a chance to leverage your Application Security side skills – Security validations, Vulnerability analysis, Pen Testing, Secure Code Review, Programming, while working on PTCs PLM products built on cutting edge technologies including PTC’s SaaS Solutions built on latest cloud technologies to deliver high quality secure products collaborating with multiple Scrum teams.

You would be working with Application Security Team of talented and committed software security technologists who aim at delivering high quality secure products to PTC customers in PLM space.
Your Day-to-Day
You Would Be Involved In Application Security Practices Like
- Working on various application security tools like SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA tools.
- Vulnerability Analysis, Exploits and Pen Testing
- Cross-functional collaboration to resolve security vulnerabilities
- Support ongoing maintenance of software products in multiple release streams
- Document secure practices and procedures for on-prem and Cloud offerings
- Secure Code Review,
- Learning and Development
Must Have Skills
- VAPT Experience – Must
- In-Depth knowledge of Owasp-Top10 and SANS Top 25
- Working knowledge of various application security tools like SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA tools.
- Cloud and Container Security.
- Good to have Security certifications, CEH or ECSA
- Security Risk Assessment and Management
- Secure Code Review
- Knowledge of object-oriented design and programming skills - Programming skills in JAVA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good Technical Learning Abilities.
- Experience in an Agile development methodology, such as Scrum
