Description
*Teller Duties
Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services. Directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells products to members; makes transfers to and from member accounts as directed.
Accepts and processes MSR closure requests for share certificates.
Balances cash box daily and immediately reports outages and/or overages to supervisor.
May assist members with address change requests, printing loan coupons, and printing temporary checks.
*Security and BSA
Complies with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) to help detect and prevent money laundering, including but not limited to submitting Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for cash transactions over $10,000, reporting suspicious activity to immediate supervisor using appropriate notification form, and adhering to all other requirements mandated by federal regulations and the Credit Union’s BSA/CIP/OFAC policy.
* Compliance
Ensures appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
Abides by all applicable rules, regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures.
Properly secures member information in accordance with Credit Union privacy and confidentiality policies. Ensures work area is neat and safe.
Completes required training for position within deadlines.
* Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 5 to 30 pounds. This position involves sitting or standing for long periods of time and frequently viewing a computer monitor. This position requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.
EQUIPMENT SKILLS
Personal computer with windows environment, copy machine, telephone, calculator and scanner.
Summary
Provide service to credit union members by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the needs of members by referring them to appropriate departments in the credit union. To fill orders for currency and coins; to count and record cash deposits in the credit union's vault. The position will require a thorough understanding of credit union products and services to ensure complete member satisfaction.
