Role Description
The Security Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security systems across application, network, and information domains to protect the organization's assets. Responsibilities include identifying and mitigating security risks, performing security assessments, monitoring system vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with security best practices. The Security Engineer will collaborate with teams to design secure solutions and respond to potential security incidents.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Application Security and the ability to identify, assess, and address vulnerabilities in software and applications.
- Expertise in Network Security, including experience with firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and secure network design.
- Solid understanding of Cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in Security Engineering practices to design, implement, and maintain secure systems and architectures.
- Comprehensive understanding of Information Security, including data protection, compliance standards, and risk management.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to emerging security challenges and technologies.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications like CISSP, CEH, or CISM are highly beneficial.
