Job Title: Security Engineer Associate
Years of Experience: 3+ Years
Location: Bangalore, India (Onsite)
Role Summary
We are seeking a Security Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in cloud security, application security, and security monitoring. The role involves securing AWS and preferably Oracle Cloud environments, analyzing application security scan results (SonarQube, JFrog), validating OWASP Top 10 risks, and actively monitoring security events and vulnerabilities across cloud and application layers.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Security
- Implement and manage security controls across AWS and preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Configure and review IAM policies, network security controls, encryption, and logging
- Use native cloud security tools to monitor posture and misconfigurations
- Support cloud security posture management and remediation tracking
- Review cloud architecture for security best practices
Application Security
- Analyze and triage security findings from SonarQube, JFrog Xray, SAST/DAST/SCA tools
- Validate vulnerabilities against OWASP Top 10
- Work with development teams to remediate code and dependency vulnerabilities
- Support secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices
- Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines
- Review container and artifact scan reports
Security Monitoring & Detection
- Monitor security alerts and telemetry from cloud security tools and scanning platforms
- Review alerts from services such as cloud security hubs, workload protection, and vulnerability scanners
- Correlate findings from application scans, cloud misconfiguration reports, and VAPT results
- Support SIEM/security monitoring platforms with alert review and tuning
- Define alert thresholds and reduce false positives
- Track security incidents and support incident response activities
- Prepare periodic security risk and monitoring reports
Risk & Compliance Support
- Support VAPT remediation tracking
- Assist in audit and compliance evidence collection
- Maintain vulnerability and risk registers
- Contribute to security standards and hardening guidelines
Required Skills
- 3–5 years experience in security engineering / cloud security / application security
- Hands-on AWS security experience (IAM, logging, threat detection, posture monitoring)
- Working knowledge of OCI security services — preferred
- Strong understanding of application security concepts
- Experience analyzing SonarQube and JFrog Xray reports
- Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10
- Experience with SAST / DAST / SCA tools
- Experience with security monitoring and alert handling
- Familiarity with SIEM or centralized log monitoring platforms
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevSecOps security controls
Good to Have
- Experience with container and Kubernetes security
- Exposure to WAF, API security, and secrets management
- Experience with CSPM tools
- Security certifications (AWS Security / OCI Security / CEH / Security+)
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and triage skills
- Ability to work with DevOps and development teams
- Clear reporting and documentation ability
- Practical risk-based decision making
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination
