About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Security Consultant – Controls Professional (BA4) to join the Risk Team and support the assessment and enhancement of the bank’s internal control framework. The role focuses on strengthening risk management practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting the bank from operational, financial, and reputational risks.
Job Description
• Assess the integrity and effectiveness of the bank’s internal control framework
• Evaluate risks across business areas, products, processes, and technology platforms
• Identify potential weaknesses within internal controls and recommend risk mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to improve overall control effectiveness
• Document control assessments, procedures, and findings in detail
• Prepare reports highlighting risk assessment results, control weaknesses, and improvement recommendations
• Perform control reviews aligned with regulatory policies, best practices, and evolving compliance standards
• Support implementation and adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework
• Escalate policy or procedural breaches when identified
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within risk and control processes
Mandatory Skills
✔ Strong experience in Risk Management and Internal Controls
✔ Hands-on experience in Risk Assessments and Risk Mitigation
✔ Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance and Governance Frameworks
✔ Experience in Reporting, Risk Analysis, and Documentation
✔ Strong Stakeholder Management and Communication Skills
