Junior Penetration Tester

As a Junior Penetration Tester at SecureSphereLabs, you will be responsible for identifying and exploiting security vulnerabilities in our clients' systems. You will work with a team of experienced testers to perform penetration tests and provide actionable recommendations to enhance security. Key Responsibilities: Conduct penetration testing on web applications, networks, and systems. Identify and exploit vulnerabilities to demonstrate potential impact. Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and remediation strategies. Assist in the development of penetration testing methodologies and tools. Collaborate with development and IT teams to implement security improvements. Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (not required though; after all, some of the best tech geniuses dropped out of college!) Basic knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap). Understanding of common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as Security+ , CEH, or similar. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
