Job Role- Secondary GP History teacher
Location - Kolkata
Experience- 5-7years
Must have -
- Certified/qualified teacher meeting recognised national or international teaching standards.
- Demonstrated experience teaching the subject at secondary level in a recognised school setting.
- Proven ability to design lesson plans, assess learning outcomes, and manage a classroom effectively.
- Minimum five years of successful teaching experience in IGCSE and/or IBDP programs.

- Curriculum and Learning

- Apply inquiry-based, concept-driven, and interdisciplinary teaching practices.
- Differentiate instruction for diverse learners.

- Assessment and Documentation
- Provide opportunities for formative, summative, and self-assessment.
- Monitor, document, and report student progress.
- Analyze student performance data to inform teaching strategies.

- Implement assessment strategies aligned with curriculum frameworks.
- Collaboration and Professional Practice
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve student learning.
- Co-plan and co-teach to support teachers and students.
- Participate in meetings and professional learning communities.
- Mentor and support colleagues in effective teaching strategies.
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Student Wellbeing and Supervision
- Ensure a safe learning environment for students and colleagues.
- Act as homeroom advisors for pastoral care and parent communication.
- Supervise students during school activities and events.
- Support positive behavior management and student development.
- Contribute to students' social, emotional, and ethical growth.
- Family and Community Engagement
- Build partnerships with parents to support student learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents through conferences and updates.
- Involve families in student learning and school events.
