Location: On-Site: Varies between: Carolyn Down Family Medical Center, Country Doctor Community Health Clinic and Country Doctor Dental Clinic

Salary

$44.00 – $61.95 per hour payable bi-weekly. The salary scale for this position is between steps 0 and 19, depending on experience. Seattle Roots Community Health is a not-for-profit organization that operates two primary care clinics, an After-Hours Clinic, two School-Based Health Centers, a low barrier Medication-assisted treatment clinic and a Dental Clinic. Our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded in 1970 in Seattle's Central District. Our Country Doctor Community Clinic was established in 1971 by residents of the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Job Summary

The Epic Manager is responsible for the leadership, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of clinical information systems, with a primary focus on Epic EHR and related clinical applications. This role manages and leads the EPIC Site Analyst team, ensuring effective use of the platform across clinical areas. Responsibilities include system design, configuration, upgrades, enhancements, project management, training, documentation, and vendor coordination.

 

Responsibilities

 

Leadership & Management

  • Supervises, mentors, evaluates Epic analysts. Communicates and works effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers.
  • Serve as liaison between clinical users and vendor technical support; manage escalated issues and change requests
  • Coordinate system upgrades, security role management, data migration, and testing with IT and vendor teams.
  • Experience managing and leading clinical IT teams while overseeing clinical system operations and optimization.
  • Partner with operational and IT leaders to translate business needs into Epic solutions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational goals.

Technical

  • Lead implementation, configuration, testing, go-live, and long-term support of Epic modules and enhancements (e.g., Hyperspace, Interconnect, Web/IIS components).
  • Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for end-users and clinical staff.
  • Document system modifications, enhancements, and workflow changes.
  • Ensure applications meet business requirements, functional standards, and compliance needs.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for configuration, testing, and change control.

Collaboration & Training

  • Support training initiatives by coaching team and preparing training materials as required.
  • Conduct end-user training as needed.
  • Maintain on-call availability as required.
  • Support initiatives to expand access to care, including telehealth, behavioral health integration, and clinical navigation services.
  • Work with Director of IT & stakeholders to validate that application updates meet functional and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using Epic EHR in a clinical setting.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring abilities.
  • Proven record of project management, including planning, execution, and status reporting.
  • Clinical experience in patient care, with demonstrated understanding of clinical workflows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate clinical and technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Advanced skills in data mining, reporting, and validation.
  • Bonus: ECSA or ECSM Certifications
