About the role

SeatGeek is looking for a talented Site Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering team. As an SRE, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure and services. What you'll do: - Design, build, and maintain mission-critical distributed systems - Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes - Implement and monitor monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems - Collaborate with software engineers to improve the observability, reliability, and scalability of our applications - Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure prompt incident response and resolution - Continuously identify and implement opportunities to improve our operational practices and infrastructure What we're looking for: - 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or a similar role - Expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Rust) - Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) - Experience with containerization and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) - Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure - Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills - A passion for building reliable, scalable, and secure systems
