About the job
We're hiring: Search & Website Lead at Tekstac
Search is changing faster than most job descriptions admit. People now get answers from AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini before they ever click a blue link. We want someone who finds that interesting rather than threatening.
About us
Tekstac is an enterprise skilling platform. Large organisations and GCCs use us to build workforce capability through hands-on labs, assessments, skill intelligence and AI learning paths. Our buyers are L&D and tech leaders, and they research carefully before they talk to anyone.
The role
You'll own tekstac.com: how it gets found, how it performs, and how well it turns visits into conversations. That means:
- Running the WordPress site yourself. Building and editing pages, fixing what breaks, keeping plugins and themes in check, and getting load times and Core Web Vitals where they should be.
- Technical SEO. Crawlability, indexing, schema, canonicals, redirects, sitemaps. You find the problem and, where you can, fix it; where you can't, you brief the developer clearly.
- Getting cited by AI engines (AEO/GEO). Structuring content so it shows up in AI Overviews, featured snippets and LLM answers, and testing what actually works rather than repeating what's trending on LinkedIn.
- Content and keyword strategy. Topic clusters and internal linking around AI skilling, GenAI and enterprise L&D. You'll work closely with whoever is writing the content.
- Conversion. Landing page improvements, GTM and GA4 setup, and a clear line from organic traffic to demo requests.
- Authority building. Earning quality links and mentions, not buying them.
- Reporting that leads somewhere. A monthly view of what moved, why, and what we do next.
You're probably a fit if you
- Have 5–6 years of hands-on SEO, with real ownership of at least one site's results
- Are comfortable in WordPress beyond the editor, and can read and tweak HTML/CSS
- Know GSC, GA4, GTM, and tools like Semrush, Ahrefs or Screaming Frog well
- Have run experiments on AI search visibility, even small ones, and can talk about what you learned
- Care about leads and pipeline, not just rankings
Bonus: B2B SaaS, tech or EdTech background; a side project, blog or site you've grown yourself.
Why this might be interesting
You'll have a real website to own end to end, a small team that moves quickly, and a category (enterprise AI skilling) where the search landscape is still being written. If you've been waiting to test your AEO/GEO ideas on something that matters, this is the place.
Location: Coimbatore - full-time in-office
