Search & Generative Engine Optimization Executive (SEO & GEO Executive)
Role Overview
Specialist in Technical SEO, Local Search, and AI-Driven Optimization Strategies
We are hiring a technical, tactical, and highly analytical SEO & GEO Executive with deep hands-on experience in improving search engine rankings, local SEO visibility (Maps & Business Listings), and backlink authority. You must demonstrate proven ability to audit, optimize, and grow organic performance across both national and geo-targeted search results using advanced SEO tools, structured methodologies, and scalable outreach practices.
This is not a strategy-only role — we are looking for someone who executes with precision, understands SEO mechanics at the code level, and delivers measurable ranking and traffic growth.
Key Objectives
- Improve search engine rankings (Google, Bing) for key commercial keywords.
- Enhance Google Business Profile and Maps presence across all serviced locations.
- Increase organic traffic, CTR, engagement, and leads.
- Strengthen technical SEO health and fix crawl/indexation issues.
- Build authority and trust via white-hat backlink acquisition strategies.
- Dominate local and multilingual organic SERPs.
Core Responsibilities
Technical SEO Execution
- Perform deep-dive technical SEO audits using Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console.
- Fix indexation, crawl errors, canonical issues, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and redirect chains.
- Optimize Core Web Vitals, mobile performance, and TTFB (Time to First Byte).
- Review HTML/CSS/JS output for SEO issues (lazy loading, render-blocking resources, etc.).
- Implement structured data (schema.org) for local businesses, products, breadcrumbs, FAQs.
- Manage international SEO with hreflang tags, alternate URLs, and localized sitemaps.
- Ensure crawl budget efficiency, log file analysis, and secure site (HTTPS-first) structure.
On-Page & Content Optimization
- Conduct keyword clustering, intent analysis, and landing page mapping.
- Optimize metadata (titles, meta descriptions), headers (H1–H6), images (alt text), and anchor text.
- Create internal linking structures for crawlability and equity distribution.
- Work with writers to guide SEO content (briefs, content scoring, semantic expansion).
- Use tools to align content with NLP-based ranking factors.
- Monitor thin content, duplication, and cannibalization, and optimize accordingly.
GEO & Local SEO (Maps + Listings)
- Set up and optimize Google Business Profiles (GBP) for multi-location entities.
- Manage NAP (Name-Address-Phone) consistency
- Track rankings for local “near me” queries and geo-modified terms
- Implement geo-targeted landing pages with localized schema and map embeds.
- Audit and manage citations, third-party listings, and local directories.
- Optimize Apple Business Connect, Bing Places, and relevant review platforms (Trustpilot, GMB Reviews).
Off-Page SEO & Backlink Strategy
- Design and run link-building campaigns: guest posts, niche edits, HARO, digital PR.
- Use tools for scalable outreach.
- Analyze referring domains, spam links, and backlink toxicity via Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Majestic.
- Build contextual, industry-relevant backlinks to improve authority and rankings.
- Create linkable assets (data-driven blogs, infographics, tools) in collaboration with content teams.
- Track link acquisition velocity, anchor text variation, and domain authority growth.
Analytics, Reporting & Tracking
- Use Google Looker Studio (Data Studio) to create SEO dashboards.
- Report monthly on:
- Keyword ranking changes (SERP tracking via AccuRanker/SE Ranking)
- Organic traffic and conversions (via GA4 and Search Console)
- Backlink performance and domain authority
- Local pack (3-pack) rankings and listing health
- Analyze user behavior with Hotjar, Clarity, and GA4 Funnel Reports.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of technical SEO and local SEO experience in high-traffic or multi-location environments.
- Proven success in ranking keywords to Page 1, growing backlink profiles, and optimizing GBP listings.
- Advanced knowledge of SEO tools:
- Crawling: Screaming Frog, Sitebulb
- Audits & Backlinks: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Majestic
- Local SEO: BrightLocal, Whitespark, Google Business Manager
- Analytics: GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, Clarity
- Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Liferay, Joomla) and HTML/CSS debugging.
- Strong understanding of E-A-T, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, canonicalization, and international SEO.
- Excellent project management, task tracking, and reporting discipline.
Preferred
- Google Analytics (GA4) Certified
- SEO specialization certifications (Yoast Academy, Moz, SEMrush, HubSpot)
- Experience in multilingual and multi-region SEO (MENA, EU, APAC)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted SEO optimization and Generative SEO tools like ChatGPT + Surfer
