Job Description: Senior SEO Content Strategist
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SEO Content Strategist to join our team. This is not your average content writing role. We are looking for a "unicorn" digital marketer who seamlessly blends creative storytelling with deep technical SEO expertise and off-page digital PR strategies.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end content ecosystem. You will be responsible for crafting compelling, user-centric content, ensuring our technical architecture speaks flawlessly to search engine crawlers, and amplifying our brand through strategic off-page distribution. Key Responsibilities
1. On-Page & Technical SEO Content
* User-Centric Writing: Produce high-quality, engaging content across product pages, category pages, pillar pages, blog posts, news articles, user guides, glossaries, FAQs, and landing pages. Develop original, linkable content based on deep research and analytics.
* Technical "Crawler" Optimization: Take full ownership of on-page SEO elements. Optimize Title Tags, Meta Descriptions, Header Tags, URL Slugs, Anchor Text, and Alt Text. Manage technical updates including Schema markup, XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, canonicalization, and Open Graph tags.
* AEO/GEO Optimization: Structure content for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) by building tables, checklists, and quick-answer/Q&A blocks to capture featured snippets and AI overviews.
2. Off-Page Content & Digital PR
* Owned Media Management: Create and optimize content for our owned channels, including social media posts, video scripts, video descriptions, transcripts, closed captions, and infographics.
* Third-Party Media & Amplification: Drive our off-page SEO and digital PR strategy. Secure guest posts, manage content syndication, optimize our Google My Business (GMB) profile, and handle event listings. Spearhead product launchpads (e.g., Product Hunt) and execute digital PR campaigns to generate high-quality backlinks.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Experience: 6+ years of proven experience in SEO, content strategy, and digital marketing.
* Content Mastery: A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional digital marketing content writing across various formats (blogs, technical guides, PR, landing pages).
* Technical Acumen: Hands-on experience with technical SEO fundamentals (XML, robots.txt, schema markup, canonicals) and an understanding of how site architecture impacts search visibility.
* Off-Page Expertise: Demonstrated success in digital PR, link-building, and managing third-party media distributions.
* Tools: Proficiency with industry-standard SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
Bonus Points (Highly Preferred)
* Active certifications in Content Marketing, Technical SEO, or Inbound Marketing from recognized platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Semrush, Google).
