Key Responsibilities –
Link Building & Outreach
- Plan and execute white-hat link building campaigns including guest posting, niche edits, broken link building, and resource page outreach.
- Identify and qualify high-authority, topically relevant link prospects using tools like Ahrefs, Moz, and SEMrush.
- Build and manage relationships with bloggers, journalists, editors, and webmasters for consistent link acquisition.
- Develop outreach templates, personalised pitches, and follow-up sequences to maximise response rates.
- Lead digital PR campaigns to earn editorial backlinks from news sites, industry publications, and authoritative blogs.
- Monitor and convert unlinked brand mentions into dofollow backlinks, using tools like - ahref, semrush etc.
- Collaborate with the content team to create linkable assets - data studies, infographics, and thought leadership pieces.
Community Platforms & Forum SEO
Quora
- Identify high-traffic Quora questions relevant to our product, services, and target keywords, and craft expert-level answers that naturally include contextual backlinks to our website.
- Build and maintain a credible Quora profile with consistent posting cadence to establish topical authority and brand trust.
- Track referral traffic from Quora answers via GA4 and optimise answer strategy based on click-through performance.
- Monitor Quora Spaces relevant to our industry and engage with brand mentions or competitor discussions proactively.
Reddit
- Identify relevant subreddits (e.g. r/solar, r/IndiaInvestments, r/RenewableEnergy) where target audiences are actively discussing topics related to our business.
- Participate authentically in Reddit threads by providing value-first responses, with strategic and non-spammy links back to relevant blog posts or landing pages where appropriate.
- Monitor brand mentions and competitor discussions on Reddit to flag opportunities and manage reputation.
- Understand and strictly follow subreddit community rules to avoid bans or link removals that could harm brand credibility.
- Coordinate with the content team to ensure linked blog content is genuinely helpful and meets the expectations of Reddit's audience.
Other Community Platforms
- Build presence and earn backlinks on platforms like Medium, SlideShare, LinkedIn articles, and niche industry forums relevant to our vertical.
- Post on Q&A platforms including Stack Exchange, IndiaMART community, and relevant Facebook Groups to increase brand visibility.
- Track and report referral traffic, engagement, and backlink quality from all community platform activities monthly.
Backlink Profile Management & Analysis
- Conduct regular backlink audits to identify and disavow toxic or spammy links that could harm rankings.
- Track link acquisition progress, domain authority growth, and referral traffic using GA4, Ahrefs, and Search Console.
- Prepare monthly reports on off-page performance with actionable insights and next steps.
- Monitor competitor backlink profiles to identify gap opportunities and new acquisition strategies.
Local SEO & Citations
- Build and manage local citations across directories like Google Business Profile, Justdial, Sulekha, and industry-specific listings.
- Ensure NAP (name, address, phone) consistency across all online platforms and community profiles.
Must-have Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on off-page SEO experience
- Proven experience with Quora and Reddit for SEO and brand building
- Proficiency in Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz
- Strong outreach and written communication skills
- Experience with Google Search Console and GA4
- Knowledge of Google's link schemes and community platform guidelines
