Senior Associate, Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
The Senior Associate, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) will work closely with the Manager of Search
Engine Optimization, to execute strategies for a multi-location client portfolio within the digital center of
excellence. This role involves crafting and implementing effective search engine optimization strategies
by analyzing marketing data and leveraging best practices to maximize results. The individual is
proficient in managing a high volume of projects and multiple clients concurrently, demonstrating the
ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and maintain exceptional standards. The ideal
candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, where adaptability and a proactive approach are key to
continuous growth and learning. The Senior Associate of SEO is a strong communicator who excels in
delivering exceptional client experiences, skillfully translating SEO reports into actionable business
objectives, and educating clients and stakeholders on SEO best practices. A deep command of content
— including the ability to evaluate, optimize, and guide content quality across a large portfolio — is
central to success in this role. Staying updated on emerging tactics within the dynamic digital marketing
landscape, including the rapidly evolving AI search ecosystem, is crucial, as it enables informed
decision-making and innovative problem-solving strategies.
Key Job Responsibilities
Execute SEO Tactics: Implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies, including keyword
optimization, on-page content optimization, technical SEO audits, local listings, and additional ongoing
strategies to improve organic search rankings across traditional and AI-powered search environments.
Lead Content Optimization: Apply a strong command of content best practices to audit, evaluate, and
optimize web copy across a high-volume portfolio. While content strategy is owned by other teams, this
role requires the ability to identify content gaps and quality issues, write and rewrite copy at a
professional level, provide specific and actionable content direction, and ensure that all on-page content
meets SEO and user experience standards. The ability to recognize weak, thin, or off-strategy content
— and to articulate exactly how to improve it — is a core expectation of this role.
Develop and Implement SEO Strategies: Collaborate with the SEO Manager to develop and refine
long-term SEO strategies tailored to the unique needs of a multi-location client portfolio.
Monitor and Report on SEO Performance: Analyze SEO metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports
that translate data into actionable insights for clients and stakeholders.
Educate Clients and Stakeholders: Conduct presentations and workshops to educate clients and
internal teams on SEO best practices, emerging trends — including AI search and generative engine
optimization (GEO) — and the impact of SEO efforts on business objectives.
Manage Multiple Projects: Handle a high volume of projects simultaneously, ensuring that all client
deliverables are met with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
