Role Overview
We are hiring a highly technical, execution-focused SEO & GEO professional who can drive measurable organic growth, improve search rankings, and build strong visibility across traditional and AI-driven search platforms. This role requires full ownership of SEO performance including technical SEO, content optimization, local search, app store optimization, backlink strategy, and generative search visibility. The candidate must be hands-on, data-driven, and focused on outcomes.
What You Will Be Accountable For
- Ranking high-value keywords on Page 1 and Top 3 positions
- Increasing organic traffic, click-through rates, and conversions
- Improving Google Business Profile and Maps visibility
- Building high-quality backlinks and domain authority
- Enhancing Core Web Vitals and overall technical SEO health
- Driving organic installs and visibility for mobile applications
- Establishing brand presence across AI-driven search platforms
Core Responsibilities
Technical SEO
- Conduct technical SEO audits using tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console
- Resolve issues related to crawlability, indexation, redirects, canonicalization, and duplicate content
- Optimize website architecture, internal linking, and crawl budget
- Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile performance
- Implement structured data and schema markup
Keyword Strategy and Search Optimization
- Develop and manage keyword strategies across generic, branded, competitor, and long-tail categories
- Map keywords to pages based on intent and funnel stage
- Track rankings and continuously optimize performance
- Identify high-conversion keyword opportunities
On-Page and Content SEO
- Optimize metadata, headers, content structure, and semantic relevance
- Eliminate keyword cannibalization and content gaps
- Create SEO-driven content briefs and guide content teams
- Implement internal linking strategies to improve ranking authority
Local SEO and Maps
- Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles across locations
- Improve local search rankings and map visibility
- Ensure NAP consistency across listings and directories
- Monitor and improve reviews and local reputation
Off-Page SEO and Backlinking
- Develop and execute backlink acquisition strategies through outreach and partnerships
- Monitor backlink profile, referring domains, and link quality
- Remove toxic links and improve domain authority
- Create linkable assets to drive organic backlinks
App Store Optimization
- Optimize App Store and Play Store listings including keywords, descriptions, and creatives
- Improve app rankings, installs, and conversion rates
- Align SEO traffic with app acquisition strategy
Generative Engine Optimization
- Optimize content for AI-driven search platforms and zero-click results
- Build structured, entity-based content for AI discoverability
- Improve brand visibility across platforms such as ChatGPT and emerging AI search engines
- Leverage AI tools to enhance SEO performance and content scalability
Analytics and Performance Tracking
- Use Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Looker Studio to track performance
- Monitor traffic, rankings, conversions, and engagement
- Build dashboards and generate actionable insights
- Continuously optimize based on performance data
Presentation Skills
- Ability to clearly communicate complex SEO and GEO concepts in a simple, structured, and business-relevant manner
- Confident in presenting analysis, insights, and recommendations to internal teams and senior stakeholders
- Capable of defending strategy with data, tools, and logical reasoning
- Strong storytelling skills to connect SEO performance with business outcomes such as traffic, leads, and revenue
- Comfortable presenting dashboards, reports, and audits with clarity and precision
- Able to handle questions, challenges, and discussions with confidence
Required Experience
- 3 to 6 years of hands-on SEO experience with proven ranking improvements
- Demonstrated success in improving keyword rankings, organic traffic, and conversions
- Experience in managing Google Business Profiles and local SEO
- Strong expertise in tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics
- Solid understanding of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and structured data
- Experience working with content, development, and marketing teams
