About the Role
We're looking for an SEO Executive who combines disciplined execution with strong working knowledge of modern SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and AI-driven search. In this role, you'll support active content refresh and rewrite program across 170+ blog posts, implement on-page SEO changes in WordPress, and help drive visibility across Google and AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. You'll work at the intersection of content SEO, technical SEO, and AI search, using AI tools to move faster while focusing on what actually drives results.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a large-scale blog content refresh program, titles, meta descriptions, TL;DRs, opening paragraphs, schema, internal links, and dateModified updates
- Implement on-page SEO changes in WordPress using AIOSEO (redirects, canonical tags, schema validation, sitemap health)
- Apply Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) practices, answer-first structures, entity density, FAQ audits, definitional openings, to make content citation-ready for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews
- Pull, clean, and analyze Google Search Console data to surface ranking opportunities, striking-distance pages, and CTR gaps
- Coordinate technical SEO tickets with developers, including headless rendering, schema injection, and redirect mapping
- Run post-publication quality checks: cache purges, URL validation, schema tests, mobile rendering
- Map keyword cannibalization across content clusters and execute 301 consolidation
- Maintain SEO trackers and keep cross-functional partners updated on progress
- Support paid media by surfacing keyword intelligence and landing page performance
- Monitor SERP features, algorithm updates, and AI Overview behavior, flag drops and opportunities
- Stay up to date with Google algorithm changes, AIOSEO releases, and GEO best practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience of minimum 2 years in SEO execution for B2B or SaaS websites, preferably with US or global audiences
- Hands-on experience with WordPress and SEO plugins (AIOSEO preferred, Yoast or Rank Math also acceptable)
- Strong working knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, and Ahrefs or SEMrush
- Practical understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and how content gets cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews
- Daily fluency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) for research, content optimization, and workflow acceleration
- Comfort with structured data, Article, FAQPage, Organization schema, and how it supports both traditional SEO and AI citation
- Understanding of current search developments: E-E-A-T, Helpful Content integration, Information Gain, and AI crawler access (GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot)
- Strong attention to detail, especially on redirects, on-page elements, and schema validation
- Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks, track them cleanly, and ship without constant follow-up
- Strong written communication, for briefs to developers, content writers, and marketing leadership
