Position Summary
The Bicycle Shop Attendant/Driver provides exceptional service to Sea Pines Resort guests, property owners, and internal teams by supporting bicycle rental operations both in the shop and through safe, efficient delivery and pickup services throughout the resort. This role serves as an extension of our guest experience team, ensuring seamless, accurate, and professional rental experiences. Start end of April to September.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Guest Service & Rental Support

Greet guests warmly and guide them through rental options.

Assist with walk-up rentals, ensuring proper bike sizing and guest comfort.

Provide world-class service in person, by phone, and via email.

Manage guest communications and rental reservations.

Address guest questions or concerns with professionalism and solutions-oriented thinking.

Maintain confidentiality of guest and resort information.
Delivery & Operations

Load, deliver, and retrieve rental bicycles throughout the resort safely and efficiently.

Verify correct bike types and quantities for each order.

Record deliveries and pickups accurately in FareHarbor.

Communicate professionally with guests at delivery locations.

Perform basic safety checks and minor adjustments on bicycles.

Report damaged or unsafe equipment promptly.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, trailers, shop space, and inventory.

Assist with opening and closing procedures, including reports and deposits.

Collaborate with mechanics and office staff to manage workflow and ensure timely service.
Qualifications
Required
-
High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience.

Valid South Carolina Driver’s License with clean driving record (driving performance monitored for safety and efficiency).

Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays (operates 364 days per year).

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and remain standing for extended periods (approximately 50%+ of shift).

Ability to perform basic bicycle maintenance and adjustments.
Preferred

Hospitality or guest relations experience.

CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.

College degree.
Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.

Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds.

Ability to work consecutive hours without sitting.
Work Environment
This position involves frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and humidity. Temperatures may be extreme but are generally moderate.
