About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated SDE Intern – RL Environments to help design, build, and optimize simulation environments for training Reinforcement Learning (RL) agents. This role is ideal for students or early-career engineers passionate about AI systems, environment design, and scalable experimentation infrastructure.
As an intern, you will work closely with AI researchers and engineers to create realistic, modular, and performance-optimized environments that enable effective agent training and evaluation.
Responsibilities:
- Build low-latency tool execution pipelines, mock services, and sandboxed runtimes.
- Create automated test harnesses, regression runners, and scenario replay systems.
- Build MCP-compatible tool replicas with request/response schemas & strict error.
- Develop browser/UI simulation layers that support click, type, scroll, & navigation.
- Implement and maintain environment state management, transitions, and sideeffect modeling.
- Develop internal SDKs, helper libraries, and integration APIs for tool and environment extensions.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Understanding of basic Reinforcement Learning concepts (MDPs, reward functions, policy, value functions).
- Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Problem-solving mindset.
