Role Description The SDE Intern role at ZenStatement is a full-time, on-site position based in Bangalore. In this role, the intern collaborates with the software engineering team to design, develop, test, and maintain back-end services and APIs that power ZenStatement’s financial technology solutions. Daily tasks include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, participating in code reviews, debugging and resolving issues, and supporting the integration of new features into existing systems. The intern works closely with senior engineers to understand system architecture, improve performance, and ensure the reliability and scalability of core services. The position offers hands-on experience in building production-grade software in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, databases (SQL/NoSQL) and operating systems.
- Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (JavaScript is preferred)(Java, Python, C++, or similar).
- Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including server-side frameworks, RESTful APIs, and database interactions.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to design modular, reusable components.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to learn quickly, work in a team-oriented environment, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Exposure to cloud platforms or financial technology domains is an advantage.
