Role Overview
We are looking for an AI-enabled Django Developer (SDE II) who can go beyond traditional backend development - someone who can leverage AI tools, integrate AI capabilities, and build intelligent systems into our ERP ecosystem.
This role is ideal for developers who actively use AI in development workflows and are excited to build AI-powered enterprise applications.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend systems using Django & DRF
- Build and integrate AI-powered features into ERP modules
- Develop intelligent APIs and automation workflows
- Leverage AI tools (like code assistants, copilots) to improve productivity and code quality
- Integrate third-party applications
- Optimize performance, database queries, and system architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-driven features
- Ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable code practices
- Participate in architectural decisions for autonomous systems
Required Technical skills
Core Backend Skills:
- Strong expertise in Python & Django
- Hands-on experience with Django REST Framework (DRF)
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL / MySQL
- Experience in building scalable APIs & backend systems
AI & Modern Development Capabilities:
- Hands-on usage of AI tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc. in development workflows
- Understanding of LLMs (Large Language Models) and their practical applications
- Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, OCR, NLP, etc.)
- Ability to design AI-driven features, workflows, and automations
- Familiarity with prompt engineering basics
Good to Have:
- Experience with Celery, Redis (async processing)
- Exposure to Docker & Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience in ERP / SaaS platforms
Experience & Qualification:
- 2–5 years of experience in backend development
- Demonstrated experience in using AI in real-world development
- Strong problem-solving mindset with ownership attitude
- Experience in product/SaaS companies preferred
