Role Overview
As an SDE-2, you will work on backend-heavy systems powering AI-driven applications and workflows.
You will collaborate with engineers and product teams to build scalable services, APIs, automation
pipelines, and AI-powered features used in production environments.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy backend engineering and are excited about practical AI
applications beyond theoretical machine learning.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Develop backend workflows, automation pipelines, and integrations
- Work with databases, caching systems, and cloud infrastructure
- Integrate LLMs and AI APIs into production workflows
- Contribute to AI-powered capabilities such as semantic search, summarization, recommendation
systems, AI agents, workflow automation, and retrieval-augmented systems
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Write clean, maintainable, and production-quality code
- Participate in debugging, monitoring, and deployment activities
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
- Learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies
Required Skills
- Strong programming and problem-solving fundamentals
- Good understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms, Operating Systems, DBMS, and Networking
fundamentals
- Proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, Node.js / TypeScript, Go, or Java
- Familiarity with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Flask, or Express.js
- Understanding of relational databases and API development
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms and containers
- Strong willingness to learn and build independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or project experience in backend or AI systems
- Familiarity with REST APIs, Redis, Docker, PostgreSQL / MySQL, WebSockets, and CI/CD workflows
- Exposure to AI tools or frameworks such as OpenAI APIs, LangChain, vector databases, embeddings,
RAG systems, and AI agents
- Experience deploying projects on cloud platforms
- Strong GitHub projects or open-source contributions
