Quality Assurance Engineer(Manual Testing)

Job Description: QA Engineer - Manual Testing Experience: 1-2 Years Location: Remote Job Responsibilities: Manual Testing Execution: Perform manual testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of Scrut Automation's software products. Execute test cases meticulously, identifying and documenting defects to facilitate their resolution.Test Plan Development: Collaborate with the QA team to develop comprehensive test plans and strategies, aligning them with project requirements and business objectives. Ensure test coverage across all functional areas.Defect Management: Effectively report and track defects using designated tools or systems. Provide detailed information about issues encountered during testing, including steps to reproduce, expected behavior, and actual results.Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify software stability and performance after modifications, updates, or enhancements. Validate that new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of test cases, test results, and other relevant testing artifacts. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to team members as needed.Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and customer support to ensure a smooth testing process and timely resolution of issues.Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process improvement within the QA function. Participate in retrospectives and contribute ideas to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.1-2 years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in a SaaS environment.Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.Applicants are expected to possess a fundamental comprehension of at least one programming language.Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans.Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
