Role Description
Job Title: Project Manager / BA
Location: Offshore (India)
Experience Required: 15+ years (with 3+ years managing cloud migration or app modernization programs)
Job Summary
Project Manager to lead and manage end-to-end cloud migration programs from on-premises infrastructure to AWS. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management skills with overall technical understanding and ability to understand the client expectations and provide guidance to the team ensuring seamless execution of the entire project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud migration projects (on-premises to AWS)
- Provide guidance to define migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, retain)
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation models
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, DevOps, security, application teams)
- Manage risks, dependencies, and escalation paths
- Ensure adherence to best practices and organizational governance
- Track and report project progress, KPIs, and milestones to stakeholders
- Oversee data migration, application modernization, and infrastructure setup
- Drive cost optimization and resource efficiency during and after migration
- Ensure minimal downtime and business continuity during migration phases
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in managing cloud migration or infrastructure transformation projects
- Fair understanding of AWS services such as:
- EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Migration Hub
- Understanding of migration tools:
- AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), Database Migration Service (DMS)
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models
- Proficiency in project management tools (like Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to communicate both in English and Japanese to ensure smooth execution and meet or surpass client expectations
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications:
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Experience in large-scale enterprise migration programs
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with ITIL processes
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- MBA or equivalent is a plus
