This is a full time 8-hr shift position, working 40 hours per week and located in Chula Vista.

About the role:

 

  • As Wound Ostomy Incontinence Nurse, you will be responsible for the overall development, implementation, and ongoing modification of system wide programs to assure evidence-based skin, wound, ostomy and continence care. 

  • Serve primarily as a clinical consultant. 

  • Provide direct patient care and education to selected patients. 

  • Support staff development in areas of expertise to all members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and other internal and external customers.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 2 years of clinical practice within the last 4 years.
     

Required Certification/Registration:

 

  • Current RN license in California.

  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider

  • Graduate of an accredited school of WOCN or Wound Care Certification(WCC) or WCC or WOCN education in progress with completion within 2 years of hire.
     

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

 

  • Current Certification as a WOCN or WON.
