Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Scratch Mentor for our USA & UK shifts. This is a full-time, remote role in which you will be responsible for teaching Scratch programming to students, designing interactive and engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. You will provide personalized support to ensure a positive and productive learning experience. Collaboration with a team of fellow mentors to continuously improve teaching techniques and curriculum will also be part of your responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Scratch programming and a solid understanding of basic coding principles.
- Skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and engaging instructional delivery.
- Strong ability to communicate concepts clearly, effectively, and empathetically to young learners.
- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or working with children in an educational setting.
- Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for education and working with diverse age groups (ages 5–18).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills for remote teaching.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with online teaching tools or platforms such as Zoom is a plus.
