Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Scratch Mentor (US shift). As a Scratch Mentor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive coding lessons, guiding students aged 5-18 through their learning journeys. Key responsibilities include designing lesson plans aligned with educational goals, supporting students in developing their projects, evaluating progress, and fostering a positive learning environment. You will also assist in troubleshooting issues with Scratch programming and provide constructive feedback to enhance students’ learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Scratch programming and the ability to teach coding concepts to young learners effectively.
- Strong skills in logical reasoning, problem-solving, and computational thinking to guide students in their projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with students, parents, and team members effectively.
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, or working with children in an educational setting, online or offline.
- Creative thinking and enthusiasm to design engaging and interactive lessons that capture students' interest.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a remote environment.
- Background in education, computer science, or a related field is a plus.
