Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Scratch Mentor. The Scratch Mentor will be responsible for teaching engaging, interactive coding classes to young learners using the Scratch platform. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering live sessions, guiding students through project creation, and monitoring their progress. Mentors will also provide encouragement, feedback, and support to foster enthusiasm and confidence in coding.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Scratch programming and familiarity with coding concepts
- Strong teaching, instructional, and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to connect with young learners
- Strong organizational and time-management skills for lesson preparation
- Passion for education and inspiring children in STEM fields
- Prior experience in teaching or working with children is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field is preferred
