Must have
• Responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining SCOM to provide proactive monitoring and high availability across Windows, Linux, VMware, Azure, SQL, and application workloads in a large hybrid environment.
• SCOM Administration & Monitoring - Administer and support SCOM to monitor, maintain health, and proactively detect performance and availability issues across Windows, SQL, VMware, and Azure environments
• Alert & Event Management Configure and optimize SCOM alerts, thresholds, and notifications; perform root cause analysis and correlate events with incidents via ITSM tools
• SCOM Lifecycle & Upgrade Support SCOM version upgrades, OS upgrades, and UR patching activities. Assist in SCOM 2019 / SCOM 2022 upgrade and migration activities
• Integration & Reporting Integrate SCOM with ITSM tools, email notifications, and reporting mechanisms. Generate monitoring reports and dashboards for operations and management review.
• Operational Support Provide L2/L3 support for monitoring-related incidents and changes. Participate in change, problem, and incident management processes.
• Maintain SOPs and technical documentation for SCOM operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SCOM (2016 / 2019 / 2022).Good understanding of Windows Server architecture and services.
• Experience in monitoring SQL Server, IIS, VMware, and Azure. Knowledge of SCOM Management Packs, Agents, Gateways, and SQL databases. Hands-on experience in alert tuning and monitoring optimization.
