Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SCM Manager with strong knowledge in fabrication processes such as laser cutting, bending, and welding. The candidate should have excellent material knowledge and a solid mechanical engineering background to manage end-to-end supply chain operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics
Source and develop vendors for fabrication-related materials (MS, SS, plates, sheets, etc.)
Strong understanding of fabrication processes like laser cutting, bending, and welding
Handle material planning based on production schedules and project requirements
Ensure timely availability of raw materials to avoid production delays
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers
Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to reduce cost
Coordinate with production, quality, and design teams for smooth operations
Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
Track and improve supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery)
Implement cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of fabrication materials and processes
Good understanding of laser cutting, bending, and welding operations
Vendor development and supplier management
Negotiation and cost control skills
Inventory management and planning
ERP/MRP system knowledge
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and team coordination
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Background in heavy fabrication / engineering industry
Strong material knowledge (ferrous & non-ferrous)
Mechanical engineering background is mandatory
Hands-on experience in handling fabrication supply chain
