Job Description
The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for managing service parts supply from global suppliers and manufacturing plants, ensuring dealer demand is met while maintaining inventory health. The role requires strong analytical skills, cross‑functional coordination, and proactive issue management to support service operations.
Responsibilities
- Meet and monitor key market metrics such as:
- Fill Rate (Line & Piece)
- Inventory Turns
- Backorders and Aging
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly SCM processes with no backlog and ensure on‑time deliverables.
- Manage procurement of service parts from:
- External global suppliers
- Manufacturing plants
- Respond to dealer part status enquiries and take immediate action to meet urgent requirements by coordinating with suppliers, carriers, or distribution centres.
- Perform root cause analysis for denied or delayed orders and implement corrective and containment actions.
- Review demand forecasts and stock order recommendations to identify unusual trends or risks.
- Track and maintain all open supply issues in an issue log with detailed status and actions.
- Participate in regular issue review meetings with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Delivery / Demand Managers.
- Interface with internal teams such as:
- Purchasing
- Engineering
- Product Analysis
- Supplier Performance / Development and external stakeholders including suppliers and dealers to resolve part supply issues.
- Proactively manage low or negative inventory situations by:
- Expediting material movement
- Addressing root causes (forecast updates, order quantity changes, etc.)
- Providing clear availability timelines and remarks
- Escalate critical backorder and aging issues to the Supervisor / Manager when timely resolution is not achievable.
- Participate in Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate non‑value‑added (NVA) activities.
- Work closely with Purchasing to:
- Review overdue or unsupported parts
- Support direct sourcing strategies through cost‑volume analysis
- Facilitate cross‑functional meetings with Purchasing, SCM, Warehouse, and Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) teams for early issue resolution.
Qualifications
Education
Experience
- 1.5 to 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management
- Background from OEMs or Tier‑1 suppliers preferred
- Experience level equivalent to SG4 / SG5
Functional & Professional Skills
- Strong understanding of SCM fundamentals and supply management concepts
- Experience in:
- Auto components
- Service parts
- Logistics
- Inventory planning and management
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to cross‑country or global supply chain operations preferred
