Value Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Consultant with expertise in IT technology and a background in Lab Informatics to drive transformational initiatives in lab operations and business strategy. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS), data management, and emerging technologies to align IT capabilities with business goals, improve operational efficiency, and support scientific innovation. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and a consultative approach to solve complex business and technical challenges in laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning & Consultation: Develop and implement IT strategies for laboratory environments, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Technology Assessment: Evaluate existing lab informatics systems, tools, and processes (such as LIMS, ELN, CDS) to recommend upgrades or new technologies to streamline operations.
• IT Integration & Optimization: Lead initiatives to integrate lab informatics systems with broader enterprise IT architecture, including ERP, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and IT departments, to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Data Management & Analysis: Guide organizations in managing lab data workflows, from collection to storage and analysis, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Digital Transformation: Advise on and lead digital transformation projects, helping labs adopt advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, automation, and cloud-based solutions.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with software vendors, negotiating contracts, assessing product roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with lab and IT strategies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all lab informatics systems and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as FDA, GxP, HIPAA, and ISO.
• Training & Change Management: Drive change management initiatives, ensuring staff are trained and onboarded with new systems and technologies.
