Role Overview:
As a Senior AI Developer at Sciometrix, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing AI models that power Clinicus. You will work on enhancing the platform's ability to analyze medical data, improve patient care, and assist healthcare professionals with data-driven insights. You will collaborate closely with our data science and engineering teams to create innovative AI solutions that streamline clinical workflows and contribute to better patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI Model Development: Design, build, and implement AI models and algorithms that are specifically tailored to healthcare and clinical data, including supervised and unsupervised learning methods.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Enhance Clinicus’ capabilities in understanding and processing medical texts from EHRs, clinical notes, and other healthcare documents using NLP techniques.
- Data Integration and Management: Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including EHR systems, patient records, medical imaging, and sensor data, ensuring seamless integration with Clinicus.
- Predictive Analytics: Develop and optimize predictive models that can forecast patient health trends and assist in treatment planning.
- Model Evaluation and Optimization: Continuously test, evaluate, and optimize AI models for accuracy, scalability, and performance, especially in high-stakes healthcare environments.
- Collaboration with Clinical Experts: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure AI solutions are aligned with real-world medical needs and that the AI models provide clinically relevant insights.
- Research & Innovation: Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technologies, and incorporate them into Clinicus to keep the platform at the forefront of the healthcare AI revolution.
- Deployment and Maintenance: Work with DevOps and engineering teams to deploy AI models in production environments, ensuring their stability and seamless performance in clinical settings.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation for algorithms, models, and workflows to ensure reproducibility, scalability, and ease of understanding for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms and techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, R, or C++.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience in working with healthcare data, such as EHRs, medical imaging, and patient health records.
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) techniques for processing medical texts and clinical data.
- Solid understanding of model evaluation, cross-validation, and hyperparameter tuning techniques.
- Experience in working with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) for model deployment and scalability.
- Experience with tools like Pandas, NumPy, and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in AI applications for healthcare or medical research.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, health information systems, and clinical data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
- Familiarity with image processing techniques and tools (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow for medical imaging).
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for scalable AI model deployment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, especially in healthcare-related challenges.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to clinical stakeholders.
