Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Scientist I role based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Scientist I will design, plan, and execute laboratory experiments, ensuring rigorous documentation of protocols, methods, and results. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing experimental data, troubleshooting technical challenges, and refining hypotheses in collaboration with cross-functional team members. The Scientist I will contribute to study design, prepare technical reports and presentations, and communicate findings to both scientific and non-scientific stakeholders. Additional responsibilities may include supporting technology evaluation, maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory, adhering to safety and regulatory standards, and mentoring junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., Neuroscience, Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field), or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with cell culture, Organoid Development, Western Blot, PCR, ELISA, data analysis tools or basic statistical methods.
- Strong foundation in biological sciences or related fields, with hands-on experience in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation.
- Proficiency with standard laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and documentation practices, with a commitment to high-quality, reproducible science.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, presentations, and scientific summaries.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple projects or experiments.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, curiosity, and adaptability in a fast-paced research or industrial environment.
