Role Title: Scientific Officer / Senior Scientific Officer – Bioefficacy
Reporting To: General Manager / Regulatory Head
Location: South India
Role Purpose
To plan, execute, and manage bioefficacy studies for agrochemical and related products, ensuring scientifically sound, cost-effective, and regulatory-compliant data generation for product registrations in India and global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee field and laboratory bioefficacy trials as per CIBRC, OECD, FAO, EPPO, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Develop study protocols in coordination with CROs, universities, and research institutes.
- Review raw data, statistical analysis, and final reports for scientific accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and review efficacy sections of registration dossiers and Biological Assessment Reports.
- Coordinate with regulatory, toxicology, residue, and formulation teams for integrated registration support.
- Provide technical guidance on trial design, data gaps, and product positioning to internal teams and clients.
- Ensure studies follow GLP / Good Experimental Practices (GEP).
- Mentor junior scientists in trial execution, data interpretation, and reporting.
- Track latest regulatory developments, efficacy guidelines, and testing methodologies.
Qualifications & Experience
- M.Sc. / Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences, Agronomy, Entomology, Plant Pathology, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in agrochemical efficacy research, field trials, or regulatory science.
- Strong knowledge of crop protection products, pest/disease management, and agricultural practices.
