Role Description
Position: Manager – Veterinary Affairs & Scientific Communication based out of Hyderabad
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports to: Business Head / National Sales Head

Role Purpose
To drive veterinary engagement as a core business pillar by building scientific credibility, developing KOL advocacy, and ensuring strong product recommendations from veterinarians and institutions. The role combines scientific communication expertise with vet channel management to deliver sales growth and brand leadership.

Key Responsibilities
1. Scientific Communication
• Develop scientific communication tools (brochures, training decks, FAQs, digital content).
• Translate complex nutrition science into simple, impactful selling stories.
• Conduct internal training for sales & marketing teams on nutrition, product USP, and competitor objection handling.
• Support product launches with scientific substantiation, claims validation, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with marketing to design science-backed campaigns and breeder engagement content.
2. Veterinary Channel Development
• Build and execute veterinary engagement strategy (vet segmentation, KOL mapping, vet college outreach).
• Lead vet CME programs, conferences, seminars, and product trials to build advocacy.
• Establish and strengthen KOL network across India, ensuring long-term partnerships.
• Work with distribution team to ensure product availability at clinics and hospitals.
• Track prescription-to-conversion data and measure ROI of vet activities.
3. Team & Cross-functional Leadership
• Manage Veterinary Business Executives (VBEs) / Pet Nutrition Advisors (if applicable).
• Set vet channel KPIs (effective calls, conversions, sales contribution).
• Align with sales, marketing, and R&D to ensure consistent scientific positioning.
• Act as the internal voice of veterinarians to influence product development & campaigns.

Qualifications & Experience
• BVSc / MVSc (Nutrition, Medicine, or Clinical preferred).
• 3–6 years of experience in pet food, animal health, or vet sales/communication.
• Strong presentation, networking, and scientific writing skills.
• Proven ability to manage vet relationships and drive sales impact.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50–60%).
