Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Shimoga for a School Psychologist. The School Psychologist will assess students' psychological and emotional needs, provide counseling, and develop tailored strategies to support their mental well-being. The role involves conducting psychological assessments, collaborating with educators and families to create individualized educational plans, and implementing interventions to foster positive learning environments. Additionally, the School Psychologist will provide guidance to staff on promoting mental health awareness within the school community.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Psychology and Psychological Assessment
- Proficiency in Counseling and supporting Mental Health needs
- Background or knowledge in Medicine as it relates to mental health care
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective intervention plans
- Master’s degree in Psychology or related field required
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting preferred
