Salary Range: $130,683 - $144,487

JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS
● Valid New Jersey Supervisor Certificate and additional New Jersey certification in one or
more of the following areas:
• Teacher of Mathematics
● Demonstrated knowledge and significant experience in mathematics education
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills
● Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal
resident alien status
● Physical and Mantoux Test

JOB GOAL
To provide instructional leadership, curricular direction, and professional support in mathematics
education that promotes high levels of student achievement, instructional excellence, and
alignment with state standards. The Supervisor of Mathematics works collaboratively with
teachers, administrators, and district leadership to design, implement, and evaluate a rigorous,
equitable, and coherent mathematics program across all grade levels.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead the articulation, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive
K–12 mathematics program aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards
(NJSLS) and district goals.
● Develop, revise, and evaluate mathematics curriculum and instructional resources to ensure
vertical and horizontal alignment, cultural relevance, and instructional rigor across grade
levels.
● Observe, supervise, and evaluate mathematics educators in accordance with state
regulations and district evaluation frameworks, providing actionable feedback to improve
instructional effectiveness.
● Collaborate with district and building-level administrators, supervisors, and instructional
coaches to support the integration of mathematics across content areas and ensure consistent
instructional delivery.
● Design, facilitate, and support high-quality professional development in mathematics
content, pedagogy, assessment practices, and data analysis for teachers and instructional
staff.

● Use student achievement data, formative assessments, and diagnostic tools to guide
curriculum decisions, monitor program effectiveness, and support intervention and
enrichment strategies.
● Support inclusive and differentiated instruction by working with teachers and support staff
to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including English Language Learners and
students with disabilities.
● Serve as a resource and consultant to teachers, administrators, parents, and district leaders
on issues related to mathematics instruction, curriculum, and assessment.
● Stay informed of current research, trends, and best practices in mathematics education and
share relevant updates and innovations with instructional staff and leadership.
● Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and Board of Education policies
related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment in mathematics.
● Support and uphold school and district behavioral expectations, professional norms, and
ethical standards in all work and interactions.
● Perform all other duties as assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Work year and salary to be determined by the board in accordance with the Collective Bargaining
Agreement between the School District of the Chathams and the Chatham Administrators
Association
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with state law and the provisions
of the board's policy on evaluation of certified staff.
