Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a School Counselor located in Thane. The School Counselor will provide direct counseling services to students, assisting with emotional, social, behavioral, and academic challenges. Responsibilities include conducting individual and group counseling sessions, implementing evidence-based interventions, collaborating with educators and parents, and developing strategies to support student well-being. The counselor will also help deliver workshops promoting mental health awareness and emotional resilience, contributing to a positive school environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Counseling and Psychoeducation techniques
- Experience working with children and adolescents with special needs
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to integrate creative and trauma-informed approaches into counseling practices
- Knowledge of building inclusive, neurodivergent environments
- Master’s degree in Psychology
- Previous experience in an educational environment (Preferred)
