Location of the School: Vadodara, Gujarat
Client: A reputed CBSE school
A reputed CBSE school in Vadodara is looking to onboard a School CEO to lead the non-academic operations, campus administration, infrastructure development, safety systems, and institutional execution of the school.
The selected candidate will work closely with the School Management and Principal to ensure that the campus operates with efficiency, safety, accountability, and long-term infrastructure readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead overall non-academic administration and operational control of the school campus
• Oversee construction, renovation, expansion, repair, and maintenance projects across the campus
• Monitor civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire safety, security, and utility-related works
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, and government authorities
• Ensure all infrastructure projects are delivered within approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety norms
• Implement strong systems for estate management, preventive maintenance, asset tracking, and vendor accountability
• Supervise transport, security, housekeeping, horticulture, canteen, stores, procurement, and facility management teams
• Ensure compliance with CBSE infrastructure, safety, hygiene, fire, building, transport, and statutory requirements
• Lead emergency preparedness, fire drills, evacuation planning, disaster response, and campus safety protocols
• Maintain high standards of campus discipline, cleanliness, security, and operational readiness
• Support the Principal and Management in budgeting, planning, inspections, audits, and institutional development
• Liaise with local authorities, municipal bodies, police, fire department, education department, and external agencies
• Establish SOPs, reporting systems, escalation mechanisms, and review processes across administrative functions
• Identify operational risks and implement corrective measures proactively
Desired Candidate Profile:
• Retired Armed Forces officer preferred, ideally from Army/Navy/Air Force engineering, works, logistics, EME, MES, Signals, Corps of Engineers, or equivalent technical/administrative branches
• Engineering background mandatory; Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical qualification preferred
• Experience in handling construction projects, infrastructure development, estate management, facility operations, or large-campus administration
• Strong understanding of contractors, BOQs, project timelines, quality checks, maintenance planning, and site supervision
• Prior experience managing schools, institutions, cantonments, defence establishments, townships, hospitals, factories, or large residential/commercial campuses preferred
• Strong command-and-control leadership style with the ability to manage teams, vendors, workers, and external stakeholders
• Excellent administrative discipline, documentation habits, reporting ability, and follow-through
• Good communication skills with the maturity to coordinate with school leadership, parents, authorities, and management
• Strong problem-solving, crisis management, and decision-making ability
• Working knowledge of MS Office, MIS reporting, ERP systems, and project tracking tools
• High integrity, accountability, and ability to maintain safety-first campus operations.
