We are currently seeking a full time Medical Records Secretary at our clinic in Cook. This position will work with medical providers to ensure information is complete and properly routed to patient charts in the Electronic Medical Records system (EMR). Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm or as designated.

Medical Records Secretary
- Comply with HIPAA requirements and standards to ensure patient confidentiality
- Provide high quality customer support to patients and visitors
- Complete medical record duties for Cook medical site:
- Manage incoming mail and faxes for department
- Complete requests for release of information
- Communicate with outside medical facilities to obtain patient records
- Scan paper records into EMR
- Manage incoming provider orders, forms and miscellaneous outside requests needed by providers
- Miscellaneous medical record related duties
- Secondary back up for Tower medical site medical records department – covering for scheduled vacations and unexpected sick days
- Manage in basket
- Health Information Technology duties:
- Complete HIT tasks as requested from Health Information Manager
- Data Entry:
- Patient chart notes, phone notes, referrals and medical records
- Physical presence at the workplace is an essential function of the job
- Perform other duties as assigned
