We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist & Office Assistant to provide front-desk coverage and administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations, high-quality patient service, accurate scheduling and registration, and timely assistance with insurance navigation and administrative projects. Typical hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. Rotating Saturday reception shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. will be required.
Medical Receptionist & Office Assistant Responsibilities:

Provide professional, courteous reception support to patients in person and by phone

Schedule, cancel, and coordinate patient appointments; verify and update patient and insurance information
- Communicate and collaborate with nursing staff to resolve patient and pharmacy inquiries
- Communicate to patients the pre-appointment paperwork and income based programs such as SAGE and Sliding Fee Scale
- Serve as an MNsure Navigator, assisting individuals and families with insurance enrollment and eligibility questions
- Support administrative operations, including ordering supplies, processing documents, and assisting with billing-related tasks
- Complete special projects and provide general administrative support as assigned
- Physical presence in the workplace is required

Originally started as Cook Area Health Services in 1979, we’ve been expanding into new clinics and gaining new providers ever since. We currently serve an 8,300 square mile area with seven medical clinics and four dental clinics. Scenic Rivers Health Services is associated with critical access hospitals in Cook and Bigfork, allowing us to provide patient care 24 hours a day.

Requirements
- 3 years of experience working in an office setting and customer support role
- 5 or more years of experience working in a medical office setting preferred
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Dependable, organized, detail-oriented and professional
