We are currently seeking a full time Human Resources Generalist at our clinic in Cook. This position is responsible for HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated clinic locations. The HR Generalist will perform routine functions of the HR Department that strategically align with our mission to provide quality primary healthcare for every patient at every visit. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm or as designated.


HR Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Recruit various levels of employees such as but not limited to clinical support staff and medical and dental clerical positions. May assist with provider recruitment
  • Write job descriptions and post open positions on designated job boards
  • Collaborate with Marketing department to advertise jobs 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with area high schools and local colleges
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to select potential candidates, conduct interviews and communicate offers of employment
  • Coordinate pre-employment screens for new hires and coordinate their onboarding
  • Administer employee benefit plans including enrollments, terminations, and changes; communicate benefit information to employees. Conducts open enrollment.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations
  • Manage annual employee performance appraisal process for sites
  • Coordinate medical and dental student shadow experiences and rotations
  • Serve as a resource to employees on all employment related matters
  • Conduct exit Interviews for terminating employees and report findings
  • Administer and maintain required FMLA or MN Paid Leave paperwork

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2 or more years of Human Resource experience
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge and understanding of current employment laws
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe
  • Experience with an HRIS, UKG is preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently

Travel to other clinic sites 10% of the time during business hours is required. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Originally started as Cook Area Health Services in 1979, we’ve been expanding into new clinics and gaining new providers ever since. We currently serve an 8,300 square mile area with seven medical clinics and four dental clinics. Scenic Rivers Health Services is associated with critical access hospitals in Cook and Bigfork, allowing us to provide patient care 24 hours a day.
