This is a direct hire, full-time onsite position based in Peabody, MA.

Position Overview:

SGL is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pricing & Operations Analyst to support both pricing strategy development and end-to-end freight execution. The ideal candidate is a hands-on logistics professional with strong analytical ability, operational expertise, and a customer-focused mindset. This role is responsible for ensuring competitive pricing, seamless shipment execution, and strong coordination between internal teams, carriers, and customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop competitive and accurate price proposals for the SGL network using pricing models, market intelligence, carrier input, and operational insights
  • Execute end-to-end shipment coordination from booking through final delivery, ensuring smooth operational flow
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, transit times, and service performance to establish and adjust competitive pricing strategies
  • Track and manage shipments proactively, providing timely updates and resolving delays, service exceptions, and operational issues
  • Collaborate with carriers, airlines, trucking companies, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient shipment execution
  • Prepare, review, and process shipping and pricing documentation including B/Ls, AWBs, invoices, delivery orders, and rate confirmations with high accuracy
  • Support spot quotes and pricing requests while ensuring alignment with operational feasibility and service requirements
  • Monitor pricing effectiveness and recommend adjustments to maximize profitability, service quality, and market competitiveness
  • Maintain accurate shipment, pricing, and rate records in internal systems and support billing validation processes
  • Partner closely with sales, customer service, and North American operations teams to ensure alignment between pricing decisions and operational execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support service excellence
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, industry regulations, and legal requirements across both pricing and operational activities
  • Prepare and present pricing and operational performance reports to leadership and product teams


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding operations, pricing, or related roles 
  • Strong hands-on experience managing shipments from initiation through delivery 
  • Solid understanding of freight movement, carrier coordination, and logistics documentation requirements 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. 

Work authorization/security clearance requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must pass TSA eligibility screening

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00- $28.00 Per Hour

Schedule: 8-hour shift (Monday to Friday)
