SCADA OPERATORHSBCfull-timeRequired skillscompliancecross-functionalSAPtechnical supportAbout the role HSBC Website: hsbc.com Job details: Roles And ResponsibilityOperate and monitor SCADA systems for PVC mixer and compounding processes.Ensure correct operation sequence and logic of pressure and vacuum conveying systems.Handle daily scheduled production and troubleshoot process-related issues.Monitor shift-wise production data to improve productivity and operational efficiency.Check and verify material composition and machine parameters before and during production.SCADA Operation & Process MonitoringOperate, monitor, and control PVC mixing equipment through the SCADA interface.Start/stop mixers, blenders, conveyors, dosing systems, and ancillary equipment as per SOP.Monitor process parameters such as: Temperature, RPM, Batch timing, Load/torque, Dosing accuracy, Vacuum/pressure levelsLog process deviations and take corrective action promptly.Ensure alarms, warnings, and interlocks are responded to immediately.Material & Formulation ControlExpertise in PVC material formulation with thorough knowledge of all chemicals used in compounding.Understand the function and impact of each additive on final product quality and performance.Ensure adherence to approved formulations and quality standards.Production Planning & ReportingCoordinate production planning as per schedule and material availability.Perform daily production data entry and reporting in SAP.Maintain accurate records for production, downtime, and efficiency.Maintenance & Preventive CareRegularly inspect machines and shop floor conditions to prevent major breakdowns.Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.Identify early signs of equipment malfunction and take timely action.Quality & Technical SupportProvide technical support during new product development and trials.Engage in technical discussions with customers for product development and issue resolution.Implement new technical methods to improve process performance and working systems.Ensure batches are produced within quality standards (bulk density, particle size, moisture, color, etc.).Follow SOPs, IMS and ISO procedures.Support QA sampling and testing activities.Avoid cross‑contamination and ensure mixers are cleaned as per procedure.Manpower & Shop Floor ManagementHandle and manage manpower effectively across shifts.Maintain discipline and efficiency on the shop floor.Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.Coordination & CommunicationRegular interaction with senior management for daily production updates.Work closely with cross-functional teams including maintenance, quality, and R&D.Function as a Production Specialist within the technical team likeProduction engineersQC/QA departmentMaintenance teamUtility operatorsReport equipment issues, downtime, and process deviations.Maintain clear communication during shift handover.Housekeeping & Continuous ImprovementMaintain 5S implementation in the department.Identify opportunities for process optimization and productivity improvement.Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.ITI / Diploma in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Plastics, or relevant field.Experience with PVC compounding is preferred.Experience1–5+ years of experience operating SCADA systems in a compounding, plastics, chemical, or processing plant.Experience with high‑speed mixers, hot/cold mixers, and dosing systems.Technical SkillsSCADA operation.Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled systems.Understanding of PVC compounding formulations.Ability to troubleshoot process and equipment deviations.Good communicationRole Specific CompetenciesKey Skills & CompetenciesPVC Mixing & Compounding Process ExpertiseSCADA Operation & Process ControlPressure and Vacuum Conveying SystemsMaterial Formulation KnowledgeSAP Production ReportingTroubleshooting & Preventive Maintenance CoordinationManpower Management & Shop Floor OperationsCustomer Technical Interaction5S & Lean Manufacturing Practices Click on Apply to know more.
