Role Description
This is a contract, on-site Scada Engineer role located in Mumbai. The Scada Engineer for LNG Fuel Stations will design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation across station facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and SCADA-related issues, configuring Human Machine Interfaces, monitoring power systems, and ensuring smooth system operation to optimize station performance and safety.
Core Roles & Responsibilities
1. System Design & Integration
- Develop and configure SCADA systems for LNG fuel stations.
- Integrate RTUs (Remote Terminal Units), PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and sensors with SCADA platforms.
- Ensure compatibility with LNG-specific equipment such as cryogenic pumps, vaporizers, compressors, and dispensers.
2. Monitoring & Control
- Oversee real-time monitoring of LNG storage tanks, pressure levels, flow rates, and temperature.
- Implement alarm management for abnormal conditions (e.g., leaks, overpressure, low temperature).
- Control automated processes like fueling sequences, emergency shutdown systems (ESD), and safety interlocks.
3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SCADA hardware/software.
- Diagnose communication issues between field devices and central SCADA servers.
- Troubleshoot network protocols (Modbus, OPC, DNP3, Ethernet/IP) used in LNG station automation.
4. Data Acquisition & Reporting
- Configure data points for historical logging and trend analysis.
- Generate operational reports for compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Support predictive maintenance by analyzing SCADA data patterns.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure SCADA systems comply with industry standards (API, NFPA, IEC, ISO).
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protect against unauthorized access.
- Support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
6. Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with process engineers, instrumentation teams, and IT specialists.
- Train operators on SCADA system usage and safety protocols.
- Provide remote and on-site support during LNG station commissioning and operation.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in SCADA systems and Human Machine Interface configuration
- Strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Power Systems management
- Experience with system diagnostics, Troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and adhere to safety and technical standards
- Experience in the LNG or energy sector is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability
